You are applying for a lot for the purpose of building a single-family home.
When can you apply for this?
You must be 18 years of age or older. Foreign nationals must have been registered in the population registry for at least 3 years.
You (and, if married, your spouse) may not own or hold a leasehold on any other property or home.
How do you apply for this?
To submit an e-form for leasehold land, you will need the following documents:
- Copy of ID
- Recent certificate of residence (Civil Affairs Department)
- Fee of USD $56 (you can pay online via the e-form, at the Civil Affairs Department, or by bank transfer)

What does it cost?
The fee for a ground lease application is $56. You pay this fee at the Civil Affairs Office.
You can also make the payment online to MCB account number 301.00.203. When making the payment, clearly state your name and leasehold number as the reference.
