What does this product or service mean?
You may transfer your leasehold.
If the leasehold is developed, you may transfer it to third parties.
An undeveloped leasehold can only be transferred to a first-degree relative,
All transfers require a written statement from the Directorate R&O.
When can you apply for this?
Undeveloped leasehold: Transfer to third parties is not permitted, except to a first-degree relative.
An important criterion is that this family member must reside on Bonaire and must not own another leasehold parcel.
Leasehold with buildings: A written statement from the director of the Spatial Planning and Development Department is required for the transfer. This statement will only be issued if the building obligation specified in the building permit has been fulfilled.
