What does this product or service mean?

You can request a division into apartment rights when a building consists of several units. The building can then be legally divided into separate apartment units. This is known as dividing a property into apartment rights.

Provide a clear site plan. The Directorate of Spatial Planning and Development (R&O) will also assess the zoning designation and applicable criteria.

When can you apply for this?

The proposed division must comply with the zoning designation of the plot.

How do you apply for this?

  1. Write a request letter to the Directorate of Spatial Planning and Development (R&O).
  2. Attach:
    1. A copy of the owner's ID;
    2. A copy of the Land Registry extract showing that the applicant owns the parcel;
    3. A copy of the building permit;
    4. A site plan showing where the applicant proposes to divide the property into apartment rights.
  3. Submit your request at the service desk or by email to directie_ro@bonairegov.com.
  4. You will be notified of the outcome of the assessment.
