Expand Owned Land

Would you like to extend your freehold property by adding adjacent land? You can submit your request to the Directorate of Spatial Planning and Development (R&O).

What does this product or service mean?

However, an extension may not be the same size as the main parcel. An extension granted by us usually consists of a strip of land that cannot be developed as a separate building plot.

When can you apply for this?

The Directorate of Spatial Planning and Development (R&O) assesses requests concerning land tenure. The strip of land in question is then appraised and submitted to the CFT for review. The CFT must approve the allocation, after which the land is granted to the applicant at the appraised value.

How do you apply for this?

Contact the Directorate of Spatial Planning and Development (R&O) and explain your situation, including the location, parcel number and reason for your request. The Directorate will tell you which options are available and which documents you must provide.

Who can you contact?

If you have any questions, please contact the Public Entity Bonaire's Customer Contact Centre (KCC):

How long does it take?

This depends on the assessment and the applicable policy.

Do you disagree with the decision?

If you disagree with a decision, you can usually lodge an objection. Ask at the service desk or consult the decision letter to find out how to lodge an objection and the deadline for doing so.
