Part of the parking lot at Stadion di Playa has been cleared and is available for parking, including during the Regatta. The temporary entrance to the parking lot is via Kaya Hermandad. Anyone visiting the stadium or coming to exercise there should also use this entrance until further notice. From October 13 through 18, the stadium lights will remain on until 3:30 a.m. This will help ensure visibility and safety on and around the grounds during the Regatta.

At the end of July, the Directorate of Supervision and Enforcement (DT&H) began clearing and restoring the parking lot. For a long time, the lot had been occupied by shipping containers, trailers, heavy machinery, and other items. As a result, the lot could no longer be properly used as a parking area.

Thanks to the cooperation of various users, part of the site has now been cleared and is once again available for parking. DT&H thanks everyone involved who contributed to this effort. The project will continue with the goal of fully restoring the parking lot to its public function.

During the Regatta, the downtown area gets especially crowded. That’s why DT&H is calling on everyone to park responsibly. Park only where permitted and keep driveways, exits, and sidewalks clear. This will keep the downtown area safe and accessible for everyone, including emergency services.

DT&H wishes everyone a safe Regatta.
