Would you like to organize an activity or small event on Bonaire? If so, you must notify the Public Entity of Bonaire. This way, the government knows what is happening and can ensure order and safety.
What does this product or service mean?
Make sure your notification or permit application is submitted on time. If you’re late, your activity or event cannot take place.
A notification of an activity is an official notice to the Lieutenant Governor. With this notification, you inform the authorities that you intend to hold a small and simple activity. This is stipulated in the General Police Regulations (APK).
When submitting a notification, you are not requesting permission. You are simply letting them know what you plan to do, where, and when.
This is intended for activities that pose little risk to public safety and order.
For larger activities or events, an APK permit is required.
In that case, you must request permission from the Public Entity of Bonaire.
Examples:
- Activity notification (APK):
small gathering, small neighborhood activity, simple activity without major risks - APK permit:
event with many visitors, loud music, alcohol, road closures, or foreign performers

When can you apply for this?
You must, among other things:
- submit the notification at least 2 weeks before the activity
- include all requested documents
- comply with the rules regarding safety and public order

How do you apply for this?
Fill out the digital form.
There are two options:
1. Activity Notification (APK)
- For small and simple activities
- You must submit the notification at least 2 weeks in advance
2. APK Permit
- For larger activities and events
- You must submit the application at least 6 weeks in advance
- For events featuring foreign artists: at least 8 weeks in advance
Your application or notification is only complete once you have submitted all required documents.
How long does it take?
The notification must be received at least 2 weeks before the start of the activity.
For permits, the processing time is 6 to 8 weeks.
What does it cost?
Notifying the city of activities is free of charge.

What do we do with your personal data?
When you submit an application or report, the Public Entity of Bonaire needs your personal data. The Public Entity of Bonaire handles your data with care.
The BES Personal Data Protection Act specifies how the Public Entity of Bonaire must do this.
The most important rules are:
- The Public Entity of Bonaire only requests data that is necessary for processing your application or report.
- They record and process your data securely, confidentially, and with care
- Your data will only be used for the application or report, or for something directly related to it.
- Your data will not be retained longer than necessary for the application or report.
- Other organizations will only receive your data if required by law.
- You may ask how your data is being used and what happens to it.
