Street Name and House Number

Do you own a parcel of land that does not yet have a clear address? If so, you can apply for one through the Public Entity of Bonaire (OLB).

What does this product or service mean?

What should you pay attention to?

Submit all the documents listed on the form. This will allow your application to be processed more quickly.

With this application, you are requesting an official street name and house number for:

  • a developed parcel (a building or structure is already present), or
  • an undeveloped parcel (nothing is there yet, but you want to have an address established).

The Executive Board is authorized to assign street names and establish house numbers.

When can you apply for this?

You may submit the application if:

  • you have an interest in the lot (e.g., owner or tenant), and
  • you complete the application in full, and
  • you include the required attachments (ID + supporting document).

How do you apply for this?

Follow these steps:

  • Fill out the form:
    • First and last name
    • Phone number and email address
  • Enter the address details:
    • Current address (as listed in the population register)
    • Future address / location (for which you are requesting a street name and house number)
  • Attach the supporting documents:
    • Attachment A: copy of a valid ID
    • Attachment B: one of the following documents: deed, Land Registry inspection report or extract
  • Submit the form (digitally via the e-form or in person at the R&O counter).
  • You will receive a temporary street name and house number.

How long does it take?

  • You will receive a response after your application has been reviewed. The exact processing time may vary (for example, due to incomplete information or additional review).
  • If the Executive Council assigns a house number, you must usually affix the house number sign to your home within 4 weeks of notification, unless otherwise decided.

What does it cost?

Applying for a street name and house number is free of charge.

Do you disagree with the decision?

If you disagree with the decision, you may:

  • File an objection. In principle, this must be done within 6 weeks of the date the decision was issued (or deemed denied).
  • The Executive Council will then, in principle, decide on the objection within 4 months at the latest (with a possible extension as provided by law).
