You must obtain a permit before you begin construction on the site. An architect or architectural draftsman can assist you with this.
We will not process incomplete applications.
If you plan to build or renovate a structure, you need a building permit. Applications for building permits are processed and issued by the Permits Unit of the Realization Department within the Spatial Planning and Development Directorate.

You must be a resident of the Public Entity of Bonaire.
How do you apply for this?
Here’s how to submit an application to build a commercial property:
- You must be familiar with the financial requirements for building a commercial property
- You must own the property or lease the land (for leased land, this applies only to agricultural activities)

- You must include the following attachments with your application:
- A notarial deed for the parcel
- Written authorization
- Survey report
- A1-format construction drawing (including site plan)
- You must pay the required building permit fees associated with your application
