What does this product or service mean?
Transferring leasehold land to a ground lease can (only) be approved if there is an occupied residence on the leasehold land. Only the tenant may submit such a request. The tenant must not have any other ground leases registered in their name. Approval also depends on the land’s designated use.
When can you apply for this?
You may choose to transfer the leased land, for example, to a family member. This may be appropriate, for instance, if you are of advanced age. The person to whom you transfer the leased land must have been born on Bonaire and reside on Bonaire.
How do you apply for this?
Write a request letter to the Public Entity of Bonaire and submit it to the R&O Directorate.
Include copies of the IDs of the parties involved and, if requested, proof of registration or residence.
The R&O Department will inform you of the next steps.

- You may ask how your data is being used and what happens to it.
