Are you moving abroad, or will you be staying abroad for at least 8 months out of every 12-month period? If so, you must report this within 10 days before your departure.
What does this product or service mean?
Do you live in Bonaire and are you planning to live outside of Bonaire? You must report this to the Civil Affairs Department of Bonaire if you will be staying outside the public entity for more than 8 months within a 1-year period. If you are moving to St. Eustatius or Saba for more than 4 months within a 6-month period, you must report this to the Civil Affairs Department of Bonaire.
These 4 or 8 months do not have to be consecutive. Even if you keep your home in Bonaire, you must report the move to the Civil Affairs Department.

When can you apply for this?
- You must submit your notification at least 10 days before your departure.
- You must submit your notification in writing.
- You must include a copy of your valid ID
- You must provide the following information:
- the country where you will be staying
- your first address (including the city name)
- the date you will be moving
- The emigration must be reported by:
- yourself;
- a parent, guardian, or caregiver;
- spouses or registered partners living together, on each other’s behalf (if they are moving together to the new address);
- parents living together and adult children (18+) on each other’s behalf (if they are moving to the new address together);
- a legal representative;
- an adult with written consent;
- the head of a healthcare facility on behalf of a person residing in that facility who, due to their health condition, cannot be deemed capable of fulfilling their obligations or granting authorization to do so, or the spouse, registered partner, or blood relatives or relatives by marriage up to the second degree of such a person, upon presentation of a written statement from the head of the relevant institution.

The BES Personal Data Protection Act specifies how the Public Entity of Bonaire must do this.

- The Public Entity of Bonaire only requests data necessary to process your request or report.
- They record and process your data securely, confidentially, and with care.
- Your data will only be used for the application or report, or for something directly related to it.
- Your data will not be retained longer than necessary for the application or report.
- Other organizations will only receive your data if required by law.
- You may ask how your data is being used and what happens to it.
