An Important Distinction Between Complaints, Reports, and Objections

You can file a complaint if you feel that an OLB employee or director has not treated you fairly.

What can’t you file a complaint about?

Not everything qualifies as a complaint. You cannot file a complaint in the following situations:

  • Reports regarding public spaces.
Is the issue related to a problem in a public space, such as a broken streetlight or a pothole? If so, you cannot file a complaint. Please submit a report via this page instead.

  • Objections to a decision.
Do you disagree with an official government decision? In that case, you can file an objection or an appeal. A complaint is not intended for this purpose. You can find more information on this page.

  • Cases currently before the court.
Has your case already been brought before a court? If so, we cannot process your complaint.
