Bonaire Housing Deal

There is a severe shortage of affordable housing on Bonaire. Low- and middle-income residents, in particular, have difficulty finding suitable housing. That is why the Public Entity of Bonaire, the national government, Fundashon Cas Bonairiano (FCB), and other partners are collaborating on the Bonaire Housing Deal. The Bonaire Housing Deal aims to increase the supply of affordable rental and owner-occupied homes. It also focuses on good infrastructure, sustainable construction, and safe and pleasant neighborhoods.

Purpose of this project

The goal of the Bonaire Housing Deal is to give more residents access to good, affordable housing. By 2030, approximately 2,100 affordable housing units are to be built.

The housing is primarily intended for low- and middle-income households. This includes public housing, affordable rental units, and affordable owner-occupied homes.

The development plan focuses on more than just the homes themselves. Roads, drainage, energy infrastructure, green spaces, and other amenities are also important. This approach creates complete, safe, and livable neighborhoods.
