Moped License
If you are 16 years of age or older, you may apply for a permit to ride a moped, scooter, or light moped.
To do so, you must:
- Pay a processing fee of $8.38 (at the Civil Affairs Office);
- Register for the written exam (at the Driver’s License Office);
- Bring a valid ID card or passport.
Practical Exam
If you pass the written exam, you may take the driving test in a vehicle. If you pass, you will receive your moped license as soon as possible.
18 years and older
People 18 years of age or older who already hold a valid driver's license do not need a permit to ride mopeds, scooters, or light mopeds.
