Extend a Business License

On Bonaire, you must have a business license to operate a business. Do you want to expand your business? If so, you must apply to the Public Entity of Bonaire to expand your business license.

What should you pay attention to?

Do you want to expand your existing business or add additional activities? In that case, you will often need to expand your business license.

Expanding a business license means modifying your existing license so that you can carry out more activities, use larger business premises, or open additional locations.

When can you apply for this?

You must meet the following requirements:

  • You have a valid business license.
  • You clearly specify what aspects of your business you wish to expand.
  • You submit all required documents.
  • The expansion does not conflict with the public interest.
  • Your location and plans comply with applicable regulations.

How do you apply for this?

You must apply for an expansion with the Public Entity of Bonaire.
To do so, complete the application form in full and attach the required documents.

The application will first be checked for completeness. If anything is missing, you will be given the opportunity to provide the missing information. The Executive Council will then assess whether the expansion can be approved.
