Approval depends on the zoning designation, location and applicable agreements. The Directorate of Spatial Planning and Development (R&O) may request land registry information.
When leased land is divided, one parcel is separated into several parts. This may affect the lease conditions.

The division must comply with applicable policy and the zoning designation. Not every parcel can be divided.
How do you apply for this?
Submit a written request to the Directorate of Spatial Planning and Development (R&O). Include your personal details, leased land details, parcel information and a site plan showing the proposed division. The Directorate will assess your request and tell you what steps follow.

How long does it take?
This depends on the assessment and any coordination required with the land registry.
