The organization requesting the proof determines how old the proof may be. Therefore, there is no fixed period during which the proof is valid.
The certificate of Dutch nationality is a document issued by the Public Entity of Bonaire. This document proves that you hold Dutch nationality.
When can you apply for this?
You can apply for the certificate if you:
- hold Dutch nationality, and
- are registered with the Civil Affairs Department on Bonaire.
You can apply for the certificate yourself or authorize someone to do so on your behalf.
How do you apply for this?
You can apply for a certificate of Dutch citizenship at the Civil Affairs Department. To do so, make an appointment online.
Bring a valid form of identification (passport, sédula, or driver’s license) to your appointment.
The certificate will be issued immediately while you wait.
