Conditions

There are three conditions to qualify for the electricity help:

1) You must have been registered with Civil Affairs on Bonaire for five consecutive years or more.

There are two exceptions:

  • You were registered for less than five years because you temporarily lived outside Bonaire and returned within five years of your departure.
  • You were registered for less than five years because you studied abroad and returned to live on Bonaire within five years of graduating.

In both cases, you must have been registered with Civil Affairs on Bonaire for at least five consecutive years before leaving.

2) The combined net income of you and the other adults in your household must not exceed:

You do not need to count the income of children aged 18 to 24 who live at home and who:
- are attending school, or
- have a mental or physical disability.

3) If you have additional funds, such as savings, these must not exceed:

USD 5,509 if you live alone.

USD 11,017 if you live with others. The combined total of additional funds for you and the other adult household members must not exceed USD 11,017.
