International Desk Bonaire
When it comes to gaining knowledge and financial support, the European Union and the United Nation offer programs and funding that aids countries or overseas territories. These programs aid in promoting economic growth, decreasing inequalities, stimulating employment, protecting the environment, and promoting innovation. There are various European Union programs (EU programs) and United Nation programs (UN programs) that offer opportunities.
As part of the Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs), Bonaire also has access to these programs due to its connection with the European Union. While Bonaire is not part of the European Union, the island is linked to the European Union through its special connection to the Netherlands.
As of the first of July 2022, the International Desk has been set up and led by the Territorial Authorized Officer (TAO). The International Desk Bonaire is an office within the Public Entity of Bonaire that aids organizations on Bonaire with applying for European and international programs. The goal of the International Desk is to provide and share information on available European and other international funds for Bonaire.
On this website you will find the different programs available for Bonaire, based on the type of organization, sector, and financial support needed. If you may have any questions or if you wish to be put on a mailing list to receive more information about the different programs, please send an email to internationaldesk@bonairegov.com.
